PROJECT SANKOFA

Helping Black youth, equity-centered educators and school districts in racially isolated communities thrive through our research-based Black Educator Pipeline Teaching Credential Program, and school partnerships.

OUR FOCUS

  • We leverage research and resourcing Black students in racially isolated communities.

  • We are focused on sharing how the disbursement of Black families across the state leads to the decentralization of the Black community.

  • Our 3-year plan includes building a educator pipeline to rectify how marginalized students are seen and supported in academic spaces.

Equity-centered EDUCATOR PIPELINE Program

In 2025, we launched a powerful new initiative: the Next Black Educator Workforce (NBEW) - an innovative graduate and credentialing pathway helping aspiring educators gain real classroom experience while completing their credential or master’s degree through one of our partnering universities or graduate institutions.

We invite you to our  upcoming Info Session to learn more about NBEW.

WHAT IS RACIAL ISOLATION?

Racial isolation  is like being into a classroom or workplace and not seeing anyone who looks like you.

We intentionally create programs, resources, and networks that assist in developing Black youth and preparing culturally responsive educators in suburban and rural communities.

We aim to create a community, education, and service ecosystem for our constituents.
