OUR SOLUTION

The educator pipeline program "TheNext Black Educator Workforce aims to address these gaps by creating a comprehensive, culturally relevant pipeline that places credentialed Black educators in these communities.

We focus on empowering Black teachers to lead classrooms, embed ethnic studies, and advocate for social justice, ensuring that the next generation receives an education rooted in both academic excellence and cultural understanding.

NBEW program, in partnership with the University of the Pacific, offers aspiring Black educators a pathway to earn a single-subject teaching credential and a Master's in Education.

THE PROBLEM

We’re tackling three critical challenges:

  • Rethinking urban planning’s role in education to ensure equitable access for Black students in historically underrepresented communities.
